Wow, I have been playing around with webcomponents for the last 10 years and have never seen them useful. Just some technology that looks good in theory and should never be used in real life because all the complexity is the logic that glues the components together and you inevitably use something to handle it, and you end up with React or something else. And it means bundlers, and so reduce the usefulness of webcomponents near to zero, because UI/UX ecosystem for major frameworks are far, far better that webcomponents can propose.

But this approach with CDN-based minified 3rd party libs attached, I would say, oldschool-way, makes them useful. Really interesting use case.
